My Work Experience
I am currently semi-retired and do some consulting work from time to time. In the past I have held Assistant Director, Director, System Director and Senior Director level positions, leading the supply chain activities within some of the top hospitals systems in the Kansas City and Oakland, CA markets. In those roles, I have been responsible for sourcing, purchasing, warehousing, and distribution of medical products. Additionally, within these roles I have extensive contracting experiences as well other support services operations experiences (e.g. linen operations, courier services, mail room, biomedical engineering and facilities management). Aside from day-to-day operations, a large focus of my supply chain career involved cost savings and standardization initiatives, many of these had taken a significant amount of time involving large multidisciplinary groups of people with diverse needs, beliefs, concerns and agenda. This allowed me to develop a strategic mindset and allowed me to hone my problem-solving skillset.

Earlier in my career, I held positions within hospitals, insurance companies and biomedical device manufacturers doing analytics, data sciences and computer programming. This developed a different skill-set, one which was focused on specificity and precision.

I believe my combined personal, educational, and professional experiences suite me well to be your next commissioner on the Johnson County Board of County Commissioners.
